Executive Coaching

Get ready to become the best version of yourself.

There’s a difference between being in a leadership position and acting like a leader. If you’re an executive, you’re in a leadership position, but are you truly acting like a leader?

Everyone always watches the leaders to see what they do and how they handle certain situations, so when you’re at the executive level, you and your actions are far more visible, not only to your team, but to the rest of the organization. This also means your actions influence the rest of the organization to a much greater extent than they did before you were an executive. So, how can you make sure your actions have the desired effect on your team?

It all comes down to two things: Vision and Culture.

An executive has to have a vision for what they want the organization to achieve. They also must be able to communicate that vision to their team and inspire them to work towards that shared vision.

The same goes for the corporate culture. An executive is responsible, not just for communicating the corporate culture to their team, but they also need to lead by example.

A big part of setting an example for your team is having the intestinal fortitude to make the tough calls when it comes to holding all your team members accountable to the Vision and the Culture of the organization.

For example, if you have a member of your sales team who always exceeds their sales goals and is bringing in a ton of revenue for the company, but they’re consistently violating the corporate culture, what do you do? Do you turn a blind eye? Or do you pull them aside for a conversation?

If you have a conversation with them and they’re still violating the corporate culture, what do you do then? Do you stay true to the culture of the organization and let that person go? Or do you make an exception so they can continue to make those sales?

It’s not an easy decision to make, but it’s those kinds of decisions that define your leadership as an executive. Knowing that the decision you make will have ripple effects throughout the organization can inspire you to make the tough call, or it can paralyze you with indecision.

That’s when it can help to have an executive coach on your side to guide you along the path towards becoming a great leader who inspires their team to respect the company’s culture and work towards a shared Vision.
